TLC is working with a wide range of exciting associate partners including Arvon Foundation, Commonwealth Writers, Free Word Centre and The Literary Platform, whose combined expertise, broad reach and understanding of the issues is set to culminate in a first-rate series of discussions, case studies and debates. We also introduce the ‘Pen Factor’, a live panel critique open to delegates (see below or check on website here).

  • SELF-PUBLISHING VS. TRADITIONAL MODELS – Which is the best way to get published today and by which routes do writers get discovered?
  • EMERGING INTERNATIONAL MARKETS – Conference associates Commonwealth Writers explore the international market opportunities open to writers in the age of the internet.
  • EXAMPLES OF NEW LITERARY FORMS AND DIGITAL TOOLS INCLUDING APPS  The Literary Platform examines innovative digital projects and how writers at all levels can take advantage of the new technology. 
  • SEE AGENTS AND PUBLISHERS IN A NEW LIGHT  The return of Canon Tales, a fast-paced look at what is driving ten of the country’s top publishers and agents, including Simon Trewin, Maria Rejt, Cathryn Summerhayes and David Godwin.
  • 'PEN FACTOR' – Five fiction projects, submitted by delegates, will be selected by TLC for an open feedback session with top agents, publishers and the audience.
