Heinemann Takes on TLC Showcased Writer
TLC is pleased to announce that our October showcased writer Jude Cook has recently signed with Heinemann. Literary agent Anna Webber at United Agents sold Cook's novel Byron Easy to Heinemann in mid-October.
Cook first came to TLC when he won the Writers’ and Artists’ Yearbook Competition in 2007. In addition to the TLC October showcase, his essays and short fiction have also appeared in Staple magazine
.

TLC November Showcase
TLC's November showcase presents Marek Slodkowski and an extract from his novel King of the Slags. In addition to Slodkowski's own introduction, this month we have included a few comments from TLC reader Ashley Stokes who first assessed Slodkowski's novel. Ashley Stokes has worked at TLC for several years and also runs Unthank Books
, which recently published Unthology no. 2.
The TLC showcase is made up of writers we have helped to publication and those whose work we think stands out from the crowd. Look out for our December newsletter where we will showcase winners from the TLC/Literateur writing competition.
